The Concorde is one of the most iconic aircraft ever built, and LEGO did an incredible job capturing its sleek form and historic significance in set 10318. From the very first bag, it’s clear this isn’t just a model. It’s a tribute.

Unboxing and First Impressions
Inside the box, you get 8 numbered bags, a few unnumbered loose pieces, and a beautiful instruction booklet filled with fun facts and design notes. There’s something really exciting about seeing such a legendary aircraft get the LEGO treatment at this scale.
Starting the Build – The Fuselage
The early steps of the build focus on the midsection of the fuselage, and I was really impressed by how solid the internal structure is. LEGO used a clever technique with Technic beams to keep everything aligned and rigid, which is essential for such a long model.
As the build progresses, more details are added to the outer shell. The curvature of the Concorde is difficult to capture, but the designers pulled it off using a smart combination of slopes and angled panels. The shaping feels accurate without being overly fragile.
The Nose Mechanism
One of the most satisfying parts of this set is the working nose droop mechanism. It’s fully functional and mimics the real-life Concorde’s takeoff and landing configuration. The nose moves smoothly thanks to a simple but effective internal lever system, which feels rewarding to build and use.
Engines and Wings
The four Olympus 593 engines are built in pairs and attached under the delta wings. While they don’t feature moving fan blades, the exterior details are sharp and well proportioned. Building the wings takes time due to their size and angle, but it’s worth the effort. They attach securely to the body and complete that unmistakable Concorde profile.
Tail and Final Assembly
The tail section is elegant, with clean lines and printed elements that avoid the hassle of stickers. Once it’s attached, you really start to feel the size of this model. It measures over 41 inches in length, making it one of the longest LEGO display sets out there. You’ll need some serious shelf space to show it off properly

The Display Stand
LEGO included a display stand that holds the Concorde at an angle, as if in mid-flight. It’s sturdy, easy to attach, and adds an extra layer of polish to the presentation. It also includes a small plaque with Concorde stats, which gives it a museum-like quality. If you don’t like the stand, there are some wall-mounts available, allowing it to be displayed vertically (as seen in the image above) or as if it’s flying.
Final Thoughts
Building LEGO 10318 Concorde was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The techniques used are satisfying without being overly complex, and the final model is absolutely stunning. If you’re a fan of aviation, engineering, or just love a clean, challenging build that turns into a striking display piece, this one belongs in your collection.
It’s not just a LEGO set. It’s a piece of aviation history recreated in bricks, and it feels like something special every time you look at it.
