Walking down Main Street, U.S.A. at the start of a Disney park day is one of those experiences that never gets old. The music, the smells, the Victorian architecture stretching toward the castle — it hits differently every time. Set 43302 captures that feeling in brick form, and if you’ve spent any time on that street, building this one is going to bring it all back.

Unboxing and First Impressions

Nearly 3,900 pieces, 16 minifigures, and three iconic buildings — this is a substantial set from the moment you open the box. The bags are well organized, the minifigures are excellent, and the detail on the printed elements hints right away at how impressive the finished display is going to look. If you’re a Disney fan, it’s hard not to get a little excited sorting through these pieces.

The Buildings

The set gives you three structures to build: the Fire Station, the Emporium, and the Crystal Arcade. Each building gets its own dedicated build sequence, and each one has enough unique techniques and details to keep things interesting throughout. The architectural detailing on all three is really well done — the period-accurate facades, the signage, the window arrangements, it all reads as Main Street rather than just a generic row of buildings.

Walt Disney’s Apartment

The Fire Station is where some of the most meaningful details live. Above it sits Walt Disney’s private apartment, and LEGO recreated it with real care. The interior includes red decor inspired by his wife’s favorite color, a small living area, a piano, a portrait of Mickey Mouse, a fire pole, and a photo of Walt himself. The second-floor window features a continuously lit lamp — a nod to the real lamp that the park keeps lit in his honor. If you know the story behind that lamp, seeing it recreated here is a genuinely touching moment.

The Easter Eggs and Hidden Details

This is where the set really separates itself. The Crystal Arcade and Emporium are packed with micro-scale references that reward anyone who takes the time to look closely. Inside the shops you’ll find Cinderella’s glass slipper, the rose under a glass bell from Beauty and the Beast, WALL-E and EVE, Sebastian from The Little Mermaid, and Gus Gus from Cinderella. And then LEGO went even further — there are micro-scale nods to Marvel with Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Spider-Man, and Groot, plus Grogu from Star Wars and Woody and Buzz from Toy Story tucked in among the merchandise. There are also tiny homages to past LEGO sets like the Up House and Snow White’s Cottage, and a mysterious tower build that looks like it might be hinting at a future Tangled set.

Beyond the shops, micro-builds and artwork throughout the set reference classic park attractions including the Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Jungle Cruise, the Disneyland Railroad, and Sleeping Beauty Castle. Every time you look at this set you find something new.

The Minifigures and Vehicles

Sixteen minifigures is generous, and the selection is spot on. Mickey and Minnie are here, along with the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet, a Fire Department Chief, a popcorn seller, an Emporium seller, and park guests to fill out the street. The vehicles are equally well done — a vintage fire truck modeled after the 1958 park original, an omnibus, a trolley, and a popcorn cart complete with Mickey balloons. Setting up the full scene with all of it in place is incredibly satisfying.

Final Assembly and Display

Arranged in a row, the finished set stretches 31 inches wide, stands 12 inches tall, and sits 7 inches deep. It needs proper real estate to show off correctly, but when it’s set up right it looks absolutely incredible. The buildings can also be rearranged into different configurations if you want to fit the space you have. It’s the kind of display that stops people in their tracks, and then keeps them there as they start spotting all the hidden details.

Final Thoughts

LEGO 43302 Main Street, U.S.A. is one of the most detail-rich sets I’ve ever built. The three buildings are each satisfying on their own, the minifigures and vehicles bring the street to life, and the sheer number of Easter eggs packed into every corner of this set is remarkable. Walt’s apartment alone would make this a special build. Everything else on top of that makes it extraordinary.

If you love Disney parks, this one is going to mean a lot to you. It’s a big set and it demands a dedicated display space, but it earns every inch of it.
